They did make a mistake on the year the couple separated, which was 07 not 06. May be just speculation.

Thanks for the articles and the translation,Rman. i think we are in for several weeks of speculative articles. Hopefully the couple will put an end to all this speculation and waiting and finally make an announcement. I tend to think that if they make the announcement soon it won’t be until after William returns from his trip. If they made it before,it would turn the whole thing into a circus. IMO.

Well who knows Lisa, I think whenever they get around to announcing it, they will have some control over the media circus. In reality it will be a media circus anyway because everyone have waited for this for such a long time.

with all of his really close friends apart from james meade and tvs getting married he may feel more like it is time now.

Trini Lough her friend married Ben Foyle – and Ben lived with David Jardine Paterson until the marriage. David must be moving out this summer for his wedding to Emilia.

Emilia has an older sister who is married to a Kenyan and they live there.

Who did Kate live with in London? Was it Melissa someone – she is marrying or married to Oliver Baker who is close with Ben Foyle.

A good news from the Greek Royal Family:

    Good Evening,

Guys I kinow we have been talking about an engagement between William & Kate and I just recently came across this documentary by Crown Princess Mary of Denmark made during her engagement to Crown Prince Frederik.

    http://tinyurl.com/yd22r8l

    1-8 video

In this doc Mary gave everyone a taste of her life back home in Australia. She introduced her family, talked about the death of her mother and the documentary really showed the love between her and Frederik. The Danish royal family did an excellent job on giving the Danish subjects a chance to personally know their future princess and queen and I think it would be a great idea if the samething was done for Kate.

Lets face it, the only thing the British people know about Kate is the stuff the tabs write about her and her family. They really don’t know her from her own personal point of view. I think doing something a bit similar to this doc would give people a chance to know the real Kate, instead of the tabloid version of Kate. Just a thought.

But do watch the documentary because I think it’s good.

Rman, thanks for the link. I shall watch it when I get home, as You Tube is blocked via Patientline, the hospitals provider.

Your comments were interesting and i have no doubt that if Kate were to become engaged to PW then that is exactly what the palace PR will do.

I hope they come up with better ways of presenting William also. Better still PW should take PR lessons.

I always hear the same story every year. KM turns down Queen’s invitation.
I feel really bad for KM. She gets criticized, and judged by everyone, she is also hated by many when she hasnt given any one a reason.
I surely would not like to be in her position. She must be very brave to be going out with PW.

If KM doesn’t read the internet forums (why should she), she doesn’t know that she is “hated”. It’s not a problem she faces in her daily life at all. So no reason to feel bad for her. We must try to put things into perspective here. People who spend a great deal of their time on the forums, get a wrong impression of the reality IMHO.

The royal family and Kate don’t read the tabloids most of the time. They know the real stories and therefore the tabloids just become meaningless and a waste. So I am pretty sure they don’t read the forums either. If they do, only to have a really good laugh at all the crazy theories that are invented there.

BTW It’s kind of amazing how much people on the one hand say they don’t believe the tabloids but on the other hand base most of their opinions on what they have read there.

Eh, they aren’t out there reading websites – but they are aware of what the media say. In their interview with Matt Lauer ( you can click on the link if you want to read the whole thing ) they said this about the media.

No matter what you read or what you see, you’re never going to know someone unless you actually get to meet them and talk to them properly. That’s what I say about everyone.
Prince Harry: That’s actually the most amusing point is meeting somebody and them going, “You’re so not what I thought you were.” And to both of us on to, you know, to our father, to everybody. You’re not what I thought you were, and, “Well, what did you think?” “Oh, I best not say it to your face,” like this. Well, thanks a lot.
Matt Lauer: I hope you mean that they’re pleasantly surprised and not disappointed by you.
Prince Harry: Well, it’s not. It’s because they believe what they read, which is…
    Matt Lauer: Right.
Prince Harry: You know, God knows what is said in the papers that we don’t read about that, you know, it’s just poisonous.

You guys are saying the royal family and KM dont read the tabloids and dont pay attention to them, but there have been many stories about them published in newspapers, magazines, tv, and I believe it is impossible for them not to know about them and become angry. Many things that are published about them are very insulting and it is impossible not to get angry, can you imagine this kind of life?

These people dont have a private life, they are persecuted by the cameras all the time and they cant be free to do things in public that regular people would do because they will get published later. So basically these people have to be either, kind of paranoic that someone is always watching them or remain in seclusion. That is sad. Being royal has disadvantages and I would surely not like to have this kind of life. I rather be normal but at least free to do what I want without worrying that the things I do will get published.

    Good Morning,

Yes, being royal has it advantages but disadvantages too. As the years goes on, it gets less easier for the royal family to have a private life but no matter how much criticism they receieve, they continue to carry on with their lives the best way they know how.

(Although I think by this new year we will know what’s going to happen) Kate is not a member of the royal family yet. She don’t have a royal role and technically she is still a private citizen. The tabloids has had their fun with her to sell their papers. Since they get very little answers on the couple, they have attacked her family and has badly influenced some young members of the internet world that the girl is no good and come from a no good family. The interesting part is that despite the attacks, Kate has remained strong and still standing throughout it all. I don’t think she could have come this far without the love and support of her family and friends. Also I don’t think she would have come this far if William wasn’t giving her the love and strength that she needs to carry on.

I know some people think life will be completely hell for Kate once her engagement is announced but in my opinion, this girl will do just fine. She very simply have what it takes to be William’s consort. It may take awhile for others to see it but I somehow can already tell she have the strength in her to make it.

    Good Evening,

Lisa I am too hoping or at least see some evidence next year of things leading to it.

I just came across a documentary on the royals that I have never seen before. I have watched many other docs about them in the past and sometimes you think you have seen one too many but this one was wonderfully put together. Here is the documentary called: The House of Windsor-

    http://tinyurl.com/yzcygz8

Although I’m American, I do have hope for the future of the British monarchy. I’m hoping William and his bride, along with Harry will help Charles out in pushing the monarchy forward.

Lisa, I will go along with your thoughts. I hope that January is a good month. I do know that it seems like Kate has disappeared. I have not seen anything about her being seen since the day before Christmas. I did read one of the articles from te foreign press (I think that it was posted here that said that she was at Sandringham). Whereever she is, I hope that she and William are together spending quality time together, I too Rman hope that next year brings more of Kate out into the public. An announcement would be exremely nice as well.

    Hello,

Hope all had a merry Christmas, we were in Switzerland skiing and unfortunately there were two fatalities in avalanches ,one near Wengen/Lauterbrunnen and the other further south near Chamonix. Fortunately we were to the east near Davos but news travels fast and despondency and grief sets in fast.

As I mentioned earlier in the year KM’s sightings will be less and less reported for the next few years and will probably only be on her sporadic appearances with PW when he is not in training (?) or on his charitable and Royal duties.

It is now getting more and more obvious that PW’s position both as an individual and as a Royal duo with PH is being concentrated upon, which is in line with the stated wishes of the RF and HM in particular. This position will probably continue over the next year or so especially if PW’s itinerary in 2010 is repeated in 2011/12/13.

That timescale should then correspond with the completion of his military service and he should then be able to concentrate more on his relationship with KM if it survives the inevitable separations that seem to happen more frequently these days. How they survive them I have great difficulty in understanding as I can’t get home quick enough from even short absences. It is indeed a very strange situation for both to be in and must lead to inevitable strains, loneliness and heart ache of the worst kind.

Will take this opportunity to wish one and all a happy and enjoyable 2010.

Kat, I agree with you. Your mention that Kate seems to have disappeared reminded me of something I posted here on 15 December. On that day I posted what is my opinion of William and Kate’s ‘yearly schedule’. Here’s the link to my original comment here on BRW:

    http://tinyurl.com/ydgkqdh

And here’s some of that HUGE post I made. It mentions Kate sightings being fewer from October through to March:

“…this IS the regular behaviour pattern for Wills and Kate, and the truth is we could almost use their habits as a yearly calendar.

We get articles about them doing something together to celebrate New Year’s, but we normally don’t get pics of them together during January and February.

We do get pics in March/April when they go on their annual ski trip. They always do something to celebrate Wills’ birthday in June and we might get pics then if we’re lucky, but if not we always get articles about it.

In August they take a holiday to a tropical island somewhere, in 2006 it was Ibiza. In 2007 it was the Seychelles, in 2008 and this year it was Mustique. If we’re lucky we get pics, but this year they managed to keep the paps from snapping them.

This year we didn’t get any pics of them in Mustique but they attended a big party on the island and some articles were written about it that stated celebrities such as Mick Jagger were present at the same party Wills and Kate attended.

September through November we usually don’t get pics unless the paps manage to snap them at a shooting party or something unusual happens like the exhibit Kate hosted for charity in November 2007.

In December we usually get a few pics of them out and about enjoying their holiday season activities, and we usually get pics of them hunting pheasants/grouse the week before Christmas.

This year though, I think HM has managed to put a stop to the paps getting photos of any members of the RF when they’re hunting.”

“…And every single year during the time period between the end of October until Wills and Kate are seen out during the Christmas holiday season in December, rumours start to fly that ’something is wrong between Wills and Kate because they haven’t been seen out together lately’. Those rumours usually stop for a little while in December, then they start up again in January, and they don’t end until Wills and Kate are seen skiing in March/April.

:P We can set our calendars by those rumours as well. What I’ve never been able to figure out is why people who keep stating that Wills and Kate are either ‘onoff’ or ‘inconsistent’ don’t notice that on the contrary, Wills and Kate are very consistent. They do the same things during the same time periods all year long.”

 My point in re-posting that huge comment is that Wills and Kate always disappear about this time, and even though we might get a few written articles about them, we rarely get any pics or actual sightings of them until March or April.

Ked, Happy Holidays and Happy New Years to you.

As for William & Kate, I’m hoping that by next year we will get some official news but in reality the couple is keeping everyone on their toes and on the edge of their seats. I really don’t think this relationship will drag on for several years without something being official. Nothing good ever comes out of a suffocated relationship. I don’t believe the Palace, The Queen, William and Kate would want something like that to happen.

I do hope that you are wrong about your predictions for William and Kate, I am convinced that they do love each other. This love will be strong enough to see them through the duration, I have seen families whose husbands/wives go on deployment. The seperation is hard. Holwever when you both have this deep down love, the relationship can go on . I am hoping that they will find more time to spend together. Ked, I’m sorry to hear about the tragedy, and I’m glad that your wife weren’t hurt.

Meg @ post #41, that is very true, William will be in Wales, which is in the U.K., NOT on the other side of the world. He’ll be in training, and he’ll continue to have his weekends off just as he has for the last few years. That’s hardly some sort of insurmountable hardship or impossible situation.

As for William and Kate having long separations, what I have to say is… What? Or even better… huh?

    My point:

My Godson is 11 months old, and we play peek-a-boo with him. Because he’s just a baby, when he covers his eyes he thinks that everything disappears. Of course when he takes his hands away from his eyes everything comes back, and to him it’s just like magic. As he’s only a little baby, it’s perfectly normal for him to think that. But I don’t believe rational adults think the same way as an 11 month old baby.

;) We all know that peek-a-boo isn’t real. As we’re all rational adults, I assume everyone realises life continues to go on for well-known people like Wills and Kate, even when we in the public don’t see them.

Unlike peek-a-boo with the baby, we adults understand that Wills and Kate’s personal lives still exist, even during the times when they aren’t right in front of our eyes.

I’d like to wish everyone a Happy New Year, I hope everyone rings in the New Year with love and happiness in their hearts and lives.

Hale, I’m still thinking of you and praying for your ankle to heal better than ever.

I am not surprised by this story. They are probably in Scotland, they were last year. The title is rehashed, which is very amusing,LOL. The tabloids are waiting just like we are for the news if it is to come. With William’s trip less then two weeks away, there won’t be an announcement before then,IMO. After he returns, things could get interesting but then again, maybe not. His training is not complete and he may wish to wait until it is and until a new PM is in place before getting married. We just have to wait as see how this all plays out. If nothing else,we can expect a fresh round of silly stories to begin a few days before Kate’s jan 9th birthday.

Well the truth is that they could make an announcement at anytime. I just think at some point this year we will finally get the news.

    Frist Princess Victoria…

A wedding date has not yet been decided but it will take place after Crown Princess Victoria’s wedding and the Swedish general elections in September 2010. It will be held in late autumn or winter. In connection to the wedding Jonas will be given the title Duke of Hälsingland and Gästrikland by the King
