Princes William & Harry Portrait Unveiled

The first double portrait of Princes William and Harry was unveiled at the National Portrait Gallery in London today.
Artist Nicky Philipps’s portrait depicts them as brothers in arms, in their military uniforms, together in conversation in the library at Clarence House.

    The Daily Mail had this painting with the headline “Captured on canvas: Broken-nosed Harry and William with added curls unveiled at National Portrait Gallery” – = ( I thought the picture looked like the way they look. I didn’t think they gave William any extra “curls” and I don’t even know what they mean by “broken-nosed” Harry – his nose looks normal like it always does.

    Wow, that’s a very good portrait of William & Harry. Diana would love this picture. I wonder will there ever be a portrait of William in his Garter robes?

    Hi everybody,

    I just saw photos of chelsy and her father on the other site and if you look with a little attention there is a camera put probably by Chelsy and she is doing some poses for her personal album, but not very natural, very strange, very strange too, if it had been kate, I suppose some girls on the other site had been declaring the war …

    ^^I am 99.9% sure that if Kate Middleton would have done those poses, the sites would go down with traffic and hatred, and I truly think she’d get in trouble with William and further into the Palace walls.

    I have no words describing those poses, but I think you sumed it pretty well – they are very very strange.

    I too think the portrait is beautifully done. Again – I just love how close PW & PH are – they truely are a team, they seem so supportive of each other and are friends. I dont’ recall any photos of PC & PA or PE hanging out and being social together. I’m sure that was Diana’s early influence on the boys – knowing what they would be facing later in life.

    Me – I agree. KM is a true class act.

    I too love the portrait. Very traditional. I especially like the way the artist has painted Harry’s glorious head of hair.

    The artist rendition of Harry is the highlight of the portrait,IMO. The more I look at William, the more unsure I am about her rendering of him,though.

    Well I guess it just proves that the other site have an major issue with Kate. Whatever she do is wrong in their eyes.

    I thought Chelsy look great in those pics but the obvious posing kinda threw me off.

    Rman, that other site is fulled with people who have so much hate,it is scary. It doesn’t matter what Kate does,they would find a way to twist it into something wrong in their eyes.

    Chelsy…hmmm…not sure what is up with her. Those shots were strange. I wonder if she and Harry are ok or on a “break”? They seem “star crossed” to me,honestly.

    On another royal topic… Perez Hilton is reporting that Princess Caroline’s hubby has been spoted on holiday w/another woman in Thailand. I have read litte bits about them maybe being seperated but it seems no one really reports about it? Are they divorcing or just seperated?

    Check the comment section of the article below. Someone says that Princess Caroline of Monaco and her husband Prince Ernst August of Hanover separated months ago. Seeing as they are Royals and Roman Catholics and have children, they can neither get a divorce nor an annulment.

    Mathilde,

    Ernst Hanover is divorced. His first wife is alive and well. I do not believe Princess Caroline waited for an annulment of his marriage before they got together (if the Catholic Church would even grant it). The fact is that Princess Caroline was a friend of Ernst and his firs wife, and the whole Hanover-Grimaldi get together was somewhat unseemly.
    Though later it came out she had just had a cancer scare, so maybe she was at a week point…

    Yes I know Lisa. I just never seen so much hate directed towards a royal girlfriend before and it’s scary.

    mathilde thanks soo much for the link!!! The photos are very odd, especially since it seems like she is looking right at the paps, which she doesn’t ever seem to do. But, who knows what actually occurred.

    It’s pretty sick & twisted Rman, but hopefully the announcement will come one of these days & even though they will still find things to complain about she will be finally in the firm. I was pm on another site & made aware that they thought the Cornwall pictures were staged because Kates hair was done while she played tennis. Now that is a reach. They thought that the family had leaked their whereabouts to the paps. Ugh sick & twisted that we hate Kate website is.

    She is clearly posing for a camera, the one that is on a table. The dad is a little stiff, because he knows this is for posterity; she her overly exuberant self. Never liked her over the top personality, but I really don’t see anything terrible about these scenes. She and her dad are posing for pictures. Together. Very sweet actually.

    Saturady 09 January is kate’s birthday, he is not away at Sandhurst nor will be at any RAF base this weekend…there you go, he hasn’t missed her birthday when free.

    Monday 11 January he has 3 official royal duties to carry out…all up north England, about 3 to 3 1/2 hour drive from London or Berkshire.
