Kate, Chelsy, William and Harry attend Polo Match

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

Princes William and Harry threw themselves into a polo match yesterday, Kate Middleton and Chelsy Davy sat side-by-side sipping their drinks and chatting.

The pair stayed in the shade of a marquee at Coworth Park, near Ascot in Berkshire, while watching the Princes compete.

While Chelsy was casual in her blue jeans and double-breasted plaid jacket, Kate looked a little smarter in a fitted cropped jacket and dark jeans.

The girls were inseparable for much of the time. But although Kate sat back and watched William on the field, Chelsy, a student at Leeds University, seemed preoccupied with a stack of papers she had with her, which she looked to be studying.

William and Harry were competing in the Audi polo match for the Um Bongo team. After the match they collected medals from a tent, although their girlfriends remained in the neighbouring marquee. (via Daily Mail)

Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy Engagement Rumours

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

PHOTO - Fox NewsClarence House was put on red alert after Fox News, the excitable American TV channel, broadcast claims that Prince Harry had become engaged to his soignee girlfriend Chelsy Davy.

According to Wednesday’s bulletin, the Prince had told Chelsy’s parents that he was going to ask the Queen for permission to marry. As the U.S. networks waded in, a royal aide urged caution. “I’m 95 per cent certain it isn’t true, but give me ten minutes.”

Order was restored. “It wouldn’t do if the Yankees were to break such an event,” murmurs a courtier. (via Daily Mail)

Chelsy Davy gets her invite to Royal Wedding

Saturday, April 19th, 2008

PHOTO - Chelsy DavyIt’s been a long time coming – but Prince Harry’s girlfriend Chelsy Davy has at last been invited to her first official Royal engagement.

The 22-year-old, who has watched from the sidelines as Kate Middleton has been welcomed at Royal functions while she has been excluded, has been invited to Peter Phillips’s wedding next month.

Chelsy was left off the original guest list when it was drawn up earlier this year. At the time, she and Harry had suffered a wobble in their relationship but now, following their reunion after the Prince returned safely from Afghanistan, there has been a rethink.

The invitation shows that Chelsy is now being welcomed into Royal circles.

But rather than accept with alacrity, Chelsy has yet to respond to the Royal invitation.

Buckingham Palace yesterday wouldn’t comment but one of her university friends in Leeds tells me: “Chels received the invite last week but she has yet to reply.

Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy in Cape Town

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

PHOTO - Prince Harry in South AfricaWhen he was serving in Afghanistan, Prince Harry was rarely seen without his favourite baseball cap on his head – at least during his off-duty moments.

And now he’s back on civvy street, he hasn’t forgotten that lucky headgear – he was pictured wearing it again on the streets of Cape Town last week.

The cap bears the American Stars and Stripes on the front, and the words “We Do Bad Things To Bad People” on the back – a slogan that prompted some debate about its suitability when he was fighting the Taliban.

But last week, as he strolled in the African sun with 22-year-old girlfriend Chelsy Davy, the ten weeks he spent on the front line in Helmand Province seemed a very long way away.

The couple – and Chelsy’s parents – are on holiday at the home of wealthy wine-grower Gerrit Thomas Ferreira, a friend of the Davy family who owns the Tokara Wine Estate, just outside Cape Town.

Monday, March 17th, 2008

PHOTO - Harry and Chelsy kissPrince Harry will spend Easter with girlfriend Chelsy Davy and her parents in South Africa.

The couple, now on a romantic African safari in Botswana, will fly to Cape Town on Thursday. They will stay with 22-year-old Chelsy’s millionaire mum and dad William and Beverly at their £800,000 holiday home.

A source said: “Harry and Chelsy are closer than they have ever been.

“The trip to Botswana has made them realise how much they want to be together and Harry is delighted they are going on to South Africa. Chelsy’s parents think the world of him and are looking forward to having them for the holidays.

“When Chelsy and Harry went through their rocky patch it was Beverly who talked her round.”

Harry gets all lovey-duvvy with Chelsy

Joker Prince Harry has been playing man of the House—of Windsor—with lover Chelsy Davy.

The prince of lark-ness has nicknamed her ‘wifey’ and says he wants six kids and a home in the country. And she’s playing along, addressing him as ‘hubby’.

Pals say they have no plans to marry — yet. But the mischievous monikers show they’re closer than ever after their split last year and his secret deployment to Afghanistan. A friend said: “He has been calling Chelsy all sorts of lovey duvvy names and she has been falling about in hysterics. She thinks he’s hilarious, which is part of why she fell for him in the first place.”

Harry, 23, whisked 22-year-old Chelsy off to the heart of Africa after returning from active service. They are sharing a tent perched on the roof of a houseboat called the Kubu Queen along Botswana’s Okavango Delta.

“They’ve been relaxed as hell, but beneath all the laughs and giggles, there is a very serious undercurrent that they are madly in love.” (via News of the World)

Houseboat Harry and Chelsy Davy cruise Okavango Delta

Tuesday, March 11th, 2008

PHOTO - Houseboat Harry
Prince Harry has whisked his girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, away to a rickety houseboat in the heart of Africa. For the past six days, the couple have been sleeping under the stars in Botswana, in a tent for two perched on the roof of their cruiser.

Each morning Harry, 23, and 22-year-old Chelsy have risen late, climbed down an aluminium ladder and on to the main deck, where they have cooked their own breakfast on a small gas cooker.

It is thought unlikely that he has treated her to the delights of mashed biscuits, jam and margarine, which is how he started the mornings in Helmand Province.

Wearing a skimpy black Billabong bikini, Zimbabwe-born Chelsy dragged heavily on a cigarette as she soaked up the sun but appeared to take little interest in the wildlife, which also included otters and fish eagles.

Prince Harry & Chelsy Davy’s romantic Botswana Safari

Sunday, March 9th, 2008

PHOTO - Chelsy DavyHero Prince Harry has whisked girlfriend Chelsy Davy off to Botswana for a romantic safari after his return from the frontline.

As we predicted last week, they flew to their favourite African hotspot on Wednesday, five days after he got back from lawless Helmand Province in Afghanistan.

The couple have hired a two-storey wooden houseboat on the stunning Okavango Delta, which is famous for its abundant wildlife - and crocodile infested waters. Harry, 23, and Chelsy, 22, went to the same spot last August.

The area of Botswana where they are staying is the perfect hideaway, with 700 square miles of meandering rivers and swamps.

They have been joined by some of Chelsy’s pals, who are staying in a nearby lodge.

The couple, who had agreed to a “cooling off” period after a series of rows, have been inseparable since last Saturday when soldier Harry came back to Britain when his tour of duty was cut short.

A Royal source said: “Harry is in love with Africa and he thought a break in Botswana with Chelsy was the perfect way to recuperate.” (via Sunday Mirror)

Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy spotted together

Friday, March 7th, 2008

PHOTO - Chelsy and HarryIt looks like fighting the Taliban does have its advantages! After spending 10 weeks in Afghanistan, 23-year old Prince Harry is heating things up again with his on again/off again girlfriend, Chelsy Davy.

In the wee hours of Thursday morning, the pair was spotted together for the first time in six months leaving the London birthday party of Harry’s pal and former soldier.

Britain’s The Sun is reporting that the couple was overheard laughing and joking inside the party as Bob Marley records played. At one point, Harry burst out with “happy birthday” before he and Chelsy, 22, left the party together at 4 a.m.

Before leaving for Afghanistan, the couple had agreed to a “cooling off” period in their three-year relationship after a series of fights. A friend of the pair said, “Before setting off for Afghanistan, it looked as though their romance was at an end. Chelsy was sick of all the rows.”

So what brought the two back together? “Harry still adores Chelsy and being away only underlined that,” says a friend of the prince.

Since Harry’s return on Saturday, the couple spent their first three days together at Prince Charles’ Highgrove country estate and are planning a romantic Easter break in Chelsy’s native South Africa.

“She has barely left Harry’s side since he got home on Saturday,” says another pal. “She has broken up early from university and it looks like they are enjoying a honeymoon period.”

The young prince has also reportedly vowed to give up his hard-living ways.

“They still have a few issues to work through, but they look happier than ever,” the friend continues. “He [Harry] wants to stay in the kind of shape he has developed since being at war. He is also keen to remain off cigarettes.” (via OK Magazine)
