During a visit to a centre for visually impaired ex-servicemen, Prince William has laughed off a cheeky remark about his marriage plans from Corporal Simon Brown.
Asked about a possible invite to his wedding, 27-year-old Prince William quipped: “You will have to wait a while yet”.
Though he made no more than an offhand comment, the second in line to the throne has sent royal-watchers into a flurry of excitement that an engagement announcement from Buckingham Palace could be in the pipeline.
Speculation surrounding William’s wedding plans has led to 2012 being earmarked as a possible date for his and Kate’s nuptials as the occasion would tie in nicely with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. (via Metro)

Prince William will make his dad’s Scottish hideaway his home after he marries Kate Middleton.
The couple have already spent several romantic weekends at remote Birkhall, on the Queen’s Balmoral estate. And aides reckon Wills, 27, will pop the question there once he’s finished his helicopter training with the RAF.
A source said: “They have fallen in love with Birkhall and Prince Charles is keen for it to be handed on to them when they wed, which is highly likely next year.
Some experts believe the pair may even take the titles Duke and Duchess of Scotland – but The People understands Wills is against any more elitist titles.
Sources say the prospect of him marrying Kate, 26, next year is “very high”. (via people.co.uk)

The Flaming Grill may be a far cry from the regal banquets usually enjoyed by the Windsor family but for Flight Lieutenant Wales his bacon and egg bap was a feast fit for a future king.
After tucking into his ketchup topped bap the prince’s flying colleagues at RAF Valley texted the owners of the Valley based van to confirm the Royal assent had been given.
Owner, Alison Williams, said: “I didn’t even realise it was Prince William at first as he was there with four or five other pilots from the base. It was only after I served them that I realised who it was.
“He was very polite and seemed a very nice man, he thanked me for the bap.”
“Later that day we received a text from one of his colleagues that said that Prince Wills enjoyed his bacon and egg bap, so we now have Royal approval.” (via Daily Post)
