When her mother Fergie was in a similar situation, she notoriously ended up having her toes sucked.

But sunbathing with her own American boyfriend, Princess Beatrice contented herself with merely wiggling those little piggies.

The 19-year-old, currently on her gap year, is enjoying a sunshine break on the Caribbean island of St Barts with Dave Clark, 25.

Happy to indulge in a public display of affection, she leaned over to kiss him while at one stage he wrapped his arms around his beaming girlfriend and lifted her out of the water.

Later, the red-headed princess was spotted rubbing sunscreen into Mr Clark’s back.

St Barts is the latest in a string of gap-year destinations for Beatrice, who is fifth in line to the throne.

She has taken in Argentina, Brazil, Spain and Belgium, not to mention two skiing trips to Switzerland.

The young royals descended en masse to their favourite haunt Mahiki last night - as Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were seen with their cousin Prince Harry for first time since his return from active duty in Afghanistan.

But thankfully, there was no sign of any over-exuberant, rowdy behaviour, as the royals left in an orderly fashion, with no need for a helping hand.

Princess Beatrice, was seen leaving the club in ritzy Mayfair, dressed in a black ruffled dress and sundress, and studded Christian Louboutin heels, ideal for showing off her suntan.

Earlier, Harry, 23, was seen with his brother Prince William, and his girlfriend Kate Middleton, at a function in London, but he later left them to join his cousins at Mahiki, arriving with his royal protection.

The club is famed for its super-expensive cocktails, including the famed £100 Treasure Chest cocktails - a potent combination of brandy and peach liqueur topped with a bottle of champagne served in a wooden chest.

Harry’s brother William has run up bar bills of £5,000 on the drinks on previous nights out. But last night there was little sign of any overindulgent behaviour as the group - including Beatrice’s American boyfriend Dave Clark, left looking rather sober.

Both Beatrice and Harry looked glowing after enjoying sunshine breaks abroad.

Princess Beatrice has been enjoying a backpacker-style break in Thailand - drinking the local whisky and dancing on the beach into the early hours.

The 19-year-old flew into Phuket two weeks ago and headed for the picturesque island of Phi Phi with a group of 15 girlfriends and two armed guards.

Her party hired a block of 12 rooms at the £48-a-night Phi Phi Villa Resort, close to beautiful Tonsai Beach.

Each day she swam with her chums in the local bay and partied on the sands.

Last Saturday night, Beatrice’s group headed to Koh Phangan to enjoy one of the island’s notorious “Full Moon” raves.

Philip Osman, 26, of the Tiger Bar said: “Beatrice certainly knew how to party. She was up there dancing and encouraging others to join in. She was drinking by the bucketful. She bought a bucket which she filled with Thai whisky, Red Bull, ice and coke. But I did not see her drunk.”

A spokesman for Beatrice said she would not comment on a private trip. (via Daily Mail)

There will be some striking gaps in the ranks when the Royal Family gathers at Windsor Castle for the traditional Easter parade on Sunday.

With Princes Charles and William away skiing and Army officer Prince Harry on leave in South Africa, the glamour was to come from the Duke of York’s daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie.

But while Prince Andrew will be on duty at his mother’s side, the two Princesses will be absent, having been whisked away to Europe for a mystery trip to mark Eugenie’s 18th birthday. It is the first time the girls have not spent Easter with their grandmother, but the Queen has given permission for Fergie to take the girls abroad.

“It’s a birthday treat for Eugenie, who is also bringing some of her close friends,” I am told.

Just the other day, the Duchess of York’s spirited daughter was spotted looking over a fabulous riverside apartment in Battersea.

The 19-year-old Princess, who is halfway through a gap year, has been looking at a number of apartments.

With a £1million-plus trust fund, she should have little difficulty in getting a foot on the property ladder, but the tricky bit will be to find somewhere that is secure.

One possibility is that Beatrice will share a flat with her mother, who has also been looking for a base in central London.

If that is the case, then the pair will pool their funds and find somewhere even more exclusive.

Meanwhile, Beatrice, who will soon go to New York to do work experience on a fashion glossy, is taking a keen interest in Fergie’s documentary on obesity for ITV. (via Daily Mail)

Supermodel Kate Moss is the ultimate fairy fashionista when it comes to be­ing hip and happening. So we’re not surprised Princess Beatrice is “delighted” she has offered to help overhaul her waning wardrobe.

The catwalk queen, who took 19-year-old Beatrice under her wing last summer, is planning to treat the lovely lass to a mega money shopping spree in New York.

An insider said: “Kate has offered to help Bea find some uber hip clothes which will make her feel sexy, feminine and a step ahead in terms of fashion.

“She said she will take Beatrice to New York with her for a long weekend in a couple of weeks to have some serious girlie fun.

“Kate will introduce her to some of the world’s best fashion houses and designers. Shopping with style icon Kate is a dream come true. Bea knows she’ll help her create different looks.

“She is already excited about mixing vintage, second-hand stuff, with High Street labels and designer gear.”

And it’s Kate, 34, who inspired the Princess to start a textiles course at London’s Goldsmiths Coll­ege this September.

Our mole added: “Bea spoke to her about doing a textile course which Kate thought was a great idea. The Queen’s granddaughter has even asked Ms Moss for security advice.

The Princess says she feels “pressurised” by having a round-the-clock protection officer. Kate has recommended two female protection officers who she knows well.

The gents toilets are the last place you’d expect to find a princess who’s fifth in line to the throne.

But that’s exactly what happened when feisty Princess Beatrice was caught following her beleaguered boyfriend into the toilet to give him a right royal tongue-lashing.

The 19-year-old lambasted her man, Dave Clark, when she followed him into the gents at the launch party of the Virgin Galactic spaceship in New York.

Clark, 25, is the head of astronaut relations on the project, and - in typical Richard Branson over-the-top fashion - all of the Virgin staff had their faces painted like Ziggy Stardust.

But towards the end of the night, Dave went to the bathroom to remove the glitter, which is when Bea charged in after him.

An onlooker said: “He felt a bit daft with the face paint on, so just wanted to wipe it off. But Bea thought it looked funny, and was demanding he keep it on. There were several men in the toilets, and they all couldn’t believe it when she stormed in, screaming after her embarrassed boyfriend.”

“The argument got quite heated, with Bea the more enthusiastic of the pair. She tried to get me involved in the argument, asking what I thought of the make-up. I was pretty terrified, and so was her boyfriend. She won in the end and he trudged out with his tail between his legs — glitter still all over his face.”

The party was held at the American Museum of Natural History, and celebrated the launch of Virgin’s ship that will take tourists into space.

Britain’s Princess Beatrice has accompained her father Prince Andrew on his official visit to Egypt

Andrew is the first senior royal to ever take one of their children with them on a business trip, but is reportedly determined to make sure Beatrice, 19, makes the most of her gap year before starting a textiles course at London’s Goldsmiths College in September.

After arriving in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on Friday, Andrew and Beatrice toured Luxor’s Valley of the Kings, before the prince had to attend to some official business as Britain’s Special Representative for International Trade. Later that day, the pair met Egypt’s Prime Minister Dr Ahmed Nazif.

A royal source told Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper: “Both meetings were between 45 minutes and an hour long and Beatrice was there as an observer. The prince felt the trip would be educational for Beatrice and also a good way to introduce his daughter to the work that he does in his role for the Department of Trade and Industry.”

The trip comes after several royal bodyguards and security guards complained their skills were being “wasted” on looking after the family’s younger royals, including Beatrice and her 17-year-old sister Eugenie.

The bill for the protection of the British Royal Family will this year cost taxpayers over £30 million, with £250,000 of that going on the protection of Beatrice.

In light of the complaints, Prince Andrew paid for Beatrice’s first class British Airways flights to Cairo himself.

The flame-haired Royal has decided to take up a place to study textiles and design at Goldsmiths College in London.

Bea, 19, was considering going to Edinburgh University but, according to a friend, has opted to study in London so she can be closer to her American boyfriend Dave Clark.

The Queen’s granddaughter, who plans to launch her own clothing line called Bobcat, has tried hard not to be parted from Clark, who works for Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic space mission.

It would be enough to put off most romantic young couples – the icy gaze of a stuffed moose perched just inches away.

But the situation didn’t seem to dampen the enthusiasm of 19-year-old Princess Beatrice and her American boyfriend Dave Clark. The pair enjoyed an intimate embrace on a restaurant balcony in a Swiss ski resort – happily oblivious to onlookers, stuffed or otherwise.

When they finally broke off, Bea looked at the moose and burst into a fit of giggles. “She seemed to think it was hilarious,” said a fellow skier.

Mr Clark, Beatrice, her 17-year-old sister Eugenie and her mother, the Duchess of York, were in the Swiss resort of Verbier for their annual winter holiday.

Beatrice and Mr Clark, 25, who works on the Virgin Galactic space tourism project, have been dating for more than 18 months. They have been inseparable since meeting at the birthday party of their mutual friend Sean Brosnan – son of former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan.

Both the Duchess and her ex-husband Prince Andrew are said to ‘adore’ Mr Clark, who has also enjoyed a holiday with them in the Bahamas.
