Wills & Kate Spend Evening Together at Clarence House
Monday, July 2nd, 2007
The Daily Mail is reporting that Prince William and Kate Middleton spent night together on the eve of the Diana Concert!
The couple - who split up in April after four years together - went to extraordinary lengths to cover up the tryst. The revelation comes as William gave the clearest signal to date that he is once again close to Kate by inviting her and her family to sit in the royal box for the Wembley spectacular celebrating his mother’s life.
But in public the couple tried to keep everyone guessing by not sitting together.
William’s behaviour was in stark contrast to that of his brother Prince Harry and girlfriend Chelsy Davy who were pictured flirting and kissing in the front row. Miss Middleton, 25, was two rows from her apparent “ex” in front of 63,000 at the concert for Diana and millions watching on television around the world.
Looking stunning in a white coat dress and high boots, she was also invited to mingle with the performers at the after show party, but left alone.
Officials bluntly refused to discuss William’s private life and the status of his relationship. But one senior royal source said: “They are of course close friends and have remained so since April.
Today it emerged that William and Kate - who have always gone to great lengths to shield their private life even when officially dating - were back to their old cloak and dagger ways. On the eve of the show, Kate left her flat in Chelsea at 9pm and arrived at Clarence House - William’s London home - around midnight.
Her Audi car, which she had left at a Mayfair hotel car park, was collected by an aide and driven into Clarence House, waved through by police on guard at 1.45am.
Reports of the tryst were given credence by William’s decision to put Miss Middleton back in the spotlight by inviting her into the royal box for the high-profile concert. (via Daily Mail)
