Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie at Milan Fashion Show

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

Princess Beatrice, Sarah Ferguson, Princess EugenieMost teenage daughters wouldn’t be seen dead in the same clothes as their mothers.

But it appears Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were taking style tips from their mother as they stepped out at Milan Fashion Week last night.

The trio looked like they had dressed from the same wardrobe as they attended designer Roberto Cavalli’s post-show party wearing little black dresses with plunging necklines.

Leading the way down the red carpet was the 49-year-old Duchess of York, who is an old friend of the Italian designer, in a low cut spaghetti strap dress with a puffball skirt.

Goldsmiths University student Beatrice, 20, was dressed the most modestly of the three with a heart-shaped neckline and capped sleeves, while her 18-year-old sister Eugenie flashed her legs in a T-shirt dress.

Daily MailThe real royal rebel: Watch out Harry! Princess Eugenie’s about – Daily Mail
Prince Harry usually bears the mantle of Wild Child of the Royal Family, but now sixth-in-line to the throne Princess Eugenie has finished school and is — increasingly — left to her own, riotous devices, she seems a shoo-in for the spot. Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised at such behaviour from the daughter of Prince ‘Air Miles’ Andrew and fun-loving Fergie, but she is effortlessly out-partying her young cousin…

Gap-year for Princess Eugenie: Beach hut and a hippy night out – Daily Mail
To the casual observer she was like any other backpacker, sunning herself in the Indian hippy resort of Goa. But Princess Eugenie had two accessories not usually found in a budget travel guide – a pair of burly Scotland Yard protection officers. The 18-year-old Royal – sixth in line to the throne – was staying in a £13-a-night beach shack featured in backpackers’ bible the Lonely Planet as part of her gap year…

Princess Beatrice’s St. James Reason – Fashion.ie
While the opulent St James’ Palace was always going to be more appealing than student digs, Princess Beatrice says she had a benevolent reason for turning down Goldsmiths College’s halls of residence. “I gave up my place in halls because I live only half an hour from campus.” She continued: “I thought the room would be better use to someone who had further to travel.”…

The Duchess doesn’t do the credit crunch – Daily Mail
I went to meet the Duchess of York at Harrods yesterday for the launch of her new children’s book, Tea for Ruby. I’ve met Sarah a few times and found her delightful when interviewing her in Dubai last month. I don’t know whether she deliberately means to be pure comedy but she always manages to bring a smile to my face…

Princess Eugenie narrowly escapes Mumbai massacre

Monday, December 1st, 2008

Princess Eugenie narrowly escaped the Mumbai massacre, The Sun can reveal.

The Queen’s 18-year-old granddaughter left the terror-hit city four days before the attacks.

It is thought she visited the Oberoi Hotel and the Leopold cafe where the massacre began. She was on the first leg of her Indian backpacking trip.

Eugenie was accompanied by armed protection cops. But last night a senior source admitted they would have been “little defence during the massacre. It has sent shockwaves through the palace. It doesn’t bear thinking about.”

Eugenie and five pals were en route to Delhi when the attack occurred. (via The Sun)

Princesses Eugenie & Beatrice hit Boujis nightclub

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

When most girls prepare for a night of clubbing, they make sure they have a handbag, lipstick and some money… or at least a generous male companion willing to buy the drinks.

But for Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, they took the unusual step of making sure they had a team of minders with them as they enjoyed a night out in London last night.

Despite frequently partying without security, somebody had obviously decided the two women needed some chaperones for Wednesday’s boozy night at members club Boujis.

Dressed in a smart black dress and matching jacket, a bleary-eyed Beatrice clung to her suited beau Dave as they left the club at 1.15am.

Beatrice’s early exit may have been down to a university commitment the next day, as her little sister Eugenie kept on partying until 3.50am.
