The Young Royals
The young royals descended en masse to their favourite haunt Mahiki last night – as Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were seen with their cousin Prince Harry for first time since his return from active duty in Afghanistan.

But thankfully, there was no sign of any over-exuberant, rowdy behaviour, as the royals left in an orderly fashion, with no need for a helping hand.

Princess Beatrice, was seen leaving the club in ritzy Mayfair, dressed in a black ruffled dress and sundress, and studded Christian Louboutin heels, ideal for showing off her suntan.

Earlier, Harry, 23, was seen with his brother Prince William, and his girlfriend Kate Middleton, at a function in London, but he later left them to join his cousins at Mahiki, arriving with his royal protection.

The club is famed for its super-expensive cocktails, including the famed £100 Treasure Chest cocktails – a potent combination of brandy and peach liqueur topped with a bottle of champagne served in a wooden chest.

Harry’s brother William has run up bar bills of £5,000 on the drinks on previous nights out. But last night there was little sign of any overindulgent behaviour as the group – including Beatrice’s American boyfriend Dave Clark, left looking rather sober.

Both Beatrice and Harry looked glowing after enjoying sunshine breaks abroad.

Harry has just returned from spending time in Cape Town, South Africa with girlfriend Chelsy Davy, 22, and her family.

Princess Eugenie spends 18th Birthday on the Swiss Slopes

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

PHOTO - Princess Eugenie skiingHer sister might have celebrated her coming of age with a lavish fancy-dress party, but Princess Eugenie has gone for something a little more low-key.

She is spending her 18th birthday today in the Swiss ski resort of Verbier with the Duchess of York and Princess Beatrice.

The Princess wore a lurid pair of lime-green ski pants when she took to the slopes with her mother yesterday.

It is understood that the Queen offered Eugenie the chance to hold a Windsor Castle bash similar to the one her sister had in 2006. But the Princess chose a holiday instead.

A friend said last night: “She’s out there with a group of her own friends, including a couple of boys, but there is no one special in her life. She has plenty of male admirers.” (via Daily Mail)

Easter Holidays – The Royals head off overseas

Friday, March 21st, 2008

PHOTO - Sisters Beatrice and Eugenie attend a Christmas service December 2006There will be some striking gaps in the ranks when the Royal Family gathers at Windsor Castle for the traditional Easter parade on Sunday.

With Princes Charles and William away skiing and Army officer Prince Harry on leave in South Africa, the glamour was to come from the Duke of York’s daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie.

But while Prince Andrew will be on duty at his mother’s side, the two Princesses will be absent, having been whisked away to Europe for a mystery trip to mark Eugenie’s 18th birthday. It is the first time the girls have not spent Easter with their grandmother, but the Queen has given permission for Fergie to take the girls abroad.

“It’s a birthday treat for Eugenie, who is also bringing some of her close friends,” I am told.

Apropos Beatrice, I hear she has dropped plans to study textiles and design at university. Instead, she will study for a degree in history at Goldsmiths College. (via Daily Mail)

Princess Eugenie steps into the spotlight

The princess, who is sixth in line for the throne and turns 18 on 23 March, described her family in an interview with Tatler magazine.

Accompanied by glamorous pictures, the princess said the Queen is “truly one of the most amazing women ever”.

“She is also very funny. All I can say is that she has this air of magic about her,” she added.

Princess Eugenie said her parents, the Duke and the Duchess of York, had a very amicable split.

She said: “They are the best divorced couple I know. I don’t remember much of the divorce happening. They just always went out of their way to make us feel loved and secure.”

She also admitted to bickering with her older sister Princess Beatrice.

“Like all sisters we have silly arguments about unimportant stuff, but we do love each other to death,” she said.

Princess Eugenie is studying for her A-Levels at Marlborough College in Wiltshire where she is head of the poetry society.
