Queen wants Credit Crunch Wedding for William & Kate

Sunday, January 25th, 2009

PHOTO - Prince William and Kate Middleton at William's graduation ceremonyThe Queen has let slip that Prince William and girlfriend Kate Middleton will have a “credit crunch” wedding if they decide to tie the knot.

A senior palace source told the News of the World Her Majesty is “mindful” of the misery caused across the nation by economic meltdown.

And she believes a lavish marriage celebration like Charles and Diana’s, which ran to millions, would not go down well with her struggling subjects.

The aide said: “The Queen knows how the nation is really suffering. A big lavish ceremony would send out all the wrong messages. The last thing she would want is to rub people’s noses in it by spending a fortune.”

“She has made it clear that the massive royal weddings of the past are just that, of the past.” (via News of the World)

Summer Wedding predicted for Kate & Wills

Sunday, July 27th, 2008

Sexy Kate Middleton is poised to set a wedding date with Prince William. And the marriage could come with the added bonus of a national holiday.

Kate has been pining for her man since he left to go on a drug-busting mission with his Navy pals in the Caribbean in June.

She’s told pals it’s made her even more certain that 26-year-old Wills  is the man she wants to spend the rest of her life with. Now she’s ready to set a wedding date for some time next summer – but no announcements will be made until he returns from his mission with the Royal Navy.

Kate, 26, has also told friends this Christmas will be the last one she spends with her family as she expects to be part of the royal household by next year.  The brunette, who only has another week to wait before she’s reunited with Wills, has attended royal events in his absence. And a source close to her family said they expect her efforts to be rewarded shortly with an announcement.

Fox Latest: White Teeth & Royal Weddings

Friday, July 25th, 2008

Gossip reporter Neil Sean has posted this gem on the Fox News website;

“Not one to gossip, as you know, but take heed of this nugget — I hear that royal insiders are in the process of setting up a meeting with Prime Minister Gordon Brown regarding planning a national U.K. holiday around high summer next year. What could that mean? Only a royal wedding, of course. Looks like Kate Middleton will finally land her man as she marries the heir to the throne next summer. You read it here first.

And does Middleton look slightly different to you? She should, as she has had her first teeth whitening treatments. The princess-in-waiting is, I can reveal, very oral-conscious and likes to look her best in smiles and pictures.

She told a mole, “It burns so much but I have good teeth and I am a tea drinker, so I have to be careful for stains.” Will Prince William be the next in line to go under the laser?”
