Royals face the bottom line – Herald Sun
Being a young royal these days doesn’t come cheap. The problem is that for the past decade or so, even Britain’s proud monarchy has been experiencing its own economic crisis. As this generation of young royals is forced to care about salaries rather than salutes and contracts rather than curtsies, it doesn’t look like life in the gilded cage is getting any easier…

Hands up if you can spot a certain resemblance between Kate Middleton and her royal boyfriend’s mother.
Catherine, as she prefers to be called nowadays, spread a shapely hand across her face as she walked past waiting photographers at Heathrow airport yesterday.
She had just returned from Birkhall, the Prince of Wales’s Scottish residence, where she had spent a romantic couple of days with Prince William but whether it was a sad parting or a happy return had to remain a mystery as she chose to screen herself in true Princess Diana style.
“They (William and Kate) have been told to keep their profiles low,” said one source last night. “It’s a brave move; there’s a risk that it might seem a bit precious but whether keeping out of the spotlight will endear her to the general public or not remains to be seen.”

Prince Harry is apparently furious after Chelsy Davy was spotted getting friendly with reknowned playboy Hugo Taylor at a nightclub opening. Monsters & Critics reports…
A source said: “Harry was furious when he heard Chelsy was with Hugo at Chinawhite. Hugo had told a number of pals that he’s got his eye on Chelsy, and as they are all in the same circle of friends it got straight back to Harry.”
Hugo is the new promoter of Chinawhite and is a well-known player who has been linked to Harry’s cousin, Princess Eugenie. The source added to Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “On the night of the party Hugo doted on Chelsy. He made a beeline for her as soon as she arrived, and he bought her drinks for the whole night.
“The VIP area in the club is tiny, and she spent most of the night at his table, where they were chatting and dancing. Harry told pals he couldn’t believe Chelsy went to the club just to see Hugo. He isn’t at all happy about it.”

In May, Harry, 25, played in a polo match in New York which was attended by several famous figures, including Madonna and Jennifer Lopez. “It was a big success and raised a substantial six-figure sum” said one of his chums. “He is keen for his charity to build on that success. As family resemblances go, theirs could hardly be closer. But would Queen Victoria be amused to know Princess Beatrice is her spitting image.
At 21, Bea looks almost exactly like Britain’s longest reigning monarch, her great great great great grandmama, when she was a similar age.
Beatrice’s mother, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, is obsessed with Victoria and has even said she thinks she might be her reincarnation. She named Beatrice, the fifth in line to the throne, after Victoria’s ninth and youngest child, her fifth daughter.
