Autumn Kelly

Peter Phillips & Autumn KellyCanadian Autumn Kelly (born 1975) has been dating Princess Anne’s son, Peter Phillips, since 2003. The pair met at the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal, when Peter was working for the Williams F1 Formula One racing team.

Described as “clever, funny and down to earth”, Autumn grew up in Montreal with her mother Kay and airline pilot stepfather Ron Magas.

She attended the elite McGill University and on graduating became a management consultant.

The couple currently live in a cottage with Peter on his mother’s sprawling Gatcombe Estate in Gloucester-shire.

Friends of Peter, who is rumoured to be The Duke of Edinburgh’s favourite grandson, have spoken of how happy the couple are together.

In the summer of 2006, Autumn joined Peter and senior members of the Royal Family, including The Queen, on a 9-day cruise. She also joined the Royal Family at The Queen’s private birthday celebrations at The Ritz. Autumn’s presence at these events has been taken as a sign of the seriousness of their relationship, and has prompted speculation that an engagement might be imminent.

She attended the Queen’s 80th birthday celebrations at the Ritz in London last December and last month she made an official appearance at Royal Ascot with Peter Phillips.

Engagement
On 28th July 2007 Buckingham Palace announced the couple’s engagement;

“The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips are pleased to announce the engagement of their son Peter Phillips to Autumn, daughter of Mr. Brian and Mrs. Kitty Kelly.”

At a book launch in mid-October 2007 Peter Phillips made a passing comment that the couple’s wedding would ‘probably’ be held next year in Britain.

Wedding Announcement
In November the couple announced that they will marry at St George’s Chaple, Windsor Castle on the 17th May 2008, with Prince William, Peter’s cousin, serving as best man. Peter’s sister, Zara Phillips, will most likely serve as a bridemaid.

The couple appeared in an official royal family photograph taken on the eve of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh’s 60th wedding anniversary.

Peter’s Stag Night

In mid-April, Peter was joined by the princes, William and Harry, Mike Tindall and his mates for his “stag night”, a self-proclaimed “72 hour bender” which took place on the Isle of Wight.
