Prince Harry has signalled his determination to follow in his late’s mother’s footsteps by making his first political speech on the issue of Aids and global poverty.

Speaking at a reception to mark the third anniversary of his charity, Sentebale, the prince said he ‘aspired’ to follow Princess Diana’s example in fighting for ‘the deprived and afflicted’.

Harry, who has until now shied away from public speaking, told friends beforehand that ‘my mother didn’t mince her words and nor will I’.

A source close to Harry said: ‘This was his most outspoken speech yet. While he knows he needs to get more experience under his belt before he can project himself on the global stage as she did, the one thing he learnt from her was the value of being blunt. He knows the only way to solve the crisis facing Lesotho at the moment is to be blunt about its problems and blunt about the solutions needed.’ (via Daily Mail)

Her curves have come under criticism in the past, but Princess Beatrice is fighting back with a knock-out new body.

The 20-year-old looked in incredible form as she left London’s Mayfair Hotel with her mother Sarah Ferguson last night after attending the African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust charity gala.

She put her slimmed down physique on show in a stylish dress, cinching in her smaller waistline with a thick patent belt.

According to Australian magazine New Idea, Prince William is due to pop the question to Kate Middleton any day now.

The couple are reportedly booked in for an “official meeting” with the Queen and the proposal date set for what would have been Princess Diana’s 48th birthday (1st July).

The magazine doesn’t stop there, detailing a “traditional” wedding, the honeymoon (an island in the West Indies) and the number of children they will have (three). Most importantly – according to an insider – grandmother Liz is unlikely to object to the union as “Kate loves shooting, so she’ll fit in well”. (via Sydney Morning Herald)

Prince Harry and pop singer Natalie Imbruglia have enjoyed a ‘cosy’ dinner together backstage at a rock concert in London’s Hyde Park. The Sun newspaper reports…

The 24-year-old Royal and 34-year-old singer dined on burgers in the VIP area of the Hard Rock Calling event.

The pair exchanged warm hugs and a kiss when they met earlier in the evening during a performance by The Killers. After the show they retreated to the plush backstage area for a meal.

A witness told The Sun: “Harry looked absolutely delighted to see Natalie when she arrived. They embraced warmly and shared a quick kiss. At dinner, afterwards, they carried on chatting and laughing like old friends.”

Earlier in the evening Prince Harry went backstage to meet members of one of his favourite bands – The Killers.  A source told the Daily Star;

“He arrived early so he could chat to Brandon and the boys. Naturally they were delighted and more than happy to welcome them into their dressing room.”

Loved-up Prince William and girlfriend Kate Middleton sneaked off for a romantic weekend – under the names of Mr and Mrs Smith.

Kate used the popular aliases to book them into a holiday home as a birthday treat for Wills, who turned 27 yesterday.

But any hopes the famously shy couple had of a private break were dashed when Wills’ brother Harry, 24 – and a bunch of pals – tagged along. And instead of a romantic dinner on Friday, the lovers went to a boozy beach barbie.

A source said: “They have been staying at private house under the assumed name Mr and Mrs Smith.”

“It is quite funny really that they feel they need to go to such great lengths to keep their visit a secret – but I suppose it adds to the romance.” The couple’s made-up names mirror those of Charles and Camilla, who famously used to refer to themselves in code as Fred and Gladys.”

AHN reports that Prince Harry has accidently flashed his underwear to a group a female onlookers…

The 24-year-old royal went into a changing tent to get out of his sweaty clothes after playing in a charity polo match, but exposed his black boxer shorts to the world after he forgot to put the curtains of his tent closed.

A source told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “A lot of girls hang around hoping for a glimpse of the princes but this time they got a real eyeful. When Harry spotted his audience he broke into a huge grin.”

William – who also played in the polo game – was less shy than his brother, choosing to strip off in the middle of a car park.

A fan said of the trainee pilot: “He’s clearly been working out with all that military training.”
